Museums are like icebergs in that they hide more than they show. This installation invites the visitor to traverse the hidden (archived) treasures of the Musée d'Art et d'Histoire.
The visitor is presented with a book containing 14'000 barcodes. The act of scanning a barcode triggers the selection of the work on a central screen. A set of secondary screens show related (by period, style etc) material.
To keep costs reasonable, the screens are powered by raspberry pis. These lightweight clients are web-based and communicate with an express js server via websockets.
